You will explore how chaplains serve people during crisis, grief, illness, loneliness, uncertainty, and other difficult circumstances by offering compassionate, Christ-centered spiritual care.
Throughout the course, you will learn about the chaplain’s role and responsibilities, including listening, prayer, confidentiality, ethical conduct, accountability, and appropriate boundaries. You will also examine what a chaplain is—and what a chaplain is not—so that you can serve faithfully without exceeding your training or authority.
